- The New York New York Tower obviously is modeled off of New York City skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and more notiably the Chrysler Building.
- Since its completion in 2004, the New York New York Tower has made a major effect on the Chongqing Skyline, with a simular effect to its much more famous predecessor, the Chrysler Building, in New York City.
