Description
The largest of many cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde area, Cliff Palace is a town built under a cliff overhang with room for over 200 people. The builders of the town had originally lived in simple houses on top of the mesa. Continually expanded during its period of inhabitation, Cliff Palace and the other cliff dwellings were abandoned around 1300.
