The Radisson Collection Hotel, situated at Rävala puiestee 3, is a landmark 5-star skyscraper reaching a total architectural height of 104.8 meters.
Completed in 2001 by Künnapu & Padrik Architects and Kari Mökkälä, the building was Tallinn's first post-Soviet high-rise hotel. It features 25 above-ground floors and was significantly revitalized in 2022 through a €25 million "nature-tech" renovation led by interior architects Argo and Katrin Vaikla (Vaikla Disain).
Key Structural & Design Features:
Vertical Profile: The building’s 104.8-meter height includes a distinctive asymmetrical rooftop crown with spire. These elements were designed to establish a visual dialogue with the historic church spires of the adjacent Old Town.
Facade Engineering: The exterior is composed of a high-contrast mix of blue glass and aluminum composite panels. The tower is visually bifurcated into two slender vertical volumes to minimize its perceived mass and enhance its aerodynamic silhouette. High speed provides an connecting the street level lobby directly to the upper hospitality tiers.
The "Nature-Tech" Interior: The 2022 renovation replaced the original aesthetic with a concept inspired by the Estonian forest. It utilizes high quality dark wood look panels, custom furniture, and circular lighting motifs. Sustainable materials are integrated throughout, such as corridor carpets manufactured from recycled fishing nets.
