Description - Built to supply additional power and steam to factories and office buildings in the central business district. The coal fired power plant was in operation until 1997 and was expanded in 1926.
- In 2007, Struever Brothers Eccles & Rouse agreed to renovate the power plant and several other industrial buildings around it to retail, residential and research labs in a 1.28 million square foot, half billion dollar plan.
