Description Architect: M. Nasr & Partners
• This building is the corporate headquarters of the ChevronTexaco Corporation which occupied the building in 1989. Prior to that time, the building remained vacant.
• The Mayan Styled crown of the tower is supposebly said to resemble a Bald Eagle with its head and wings. The stepped pyramid cap was inspired by architect Mohammed Nasr's vacation in the Yucatán.
• Due to the collapse of Texas Real Estate in the late 1980's, Heritage Plaza was the last major office building to be constructed in Houston at the time. The next tower, 1500 Louisiana Street, wouldn't be constructed until 2002.
