Description Facts
- The Mears Building was designed in an eclectic Victorian blend of syles. The massing and bow windows suggest the Chicago School, while the rough cut stone arches at the base reflect Richardson Romanesque influence. The use of Corinthian columns, particularly in conjunction with arches at the top, suggest the Renaissance.
- Limestone, cut in rough and smooth finishes, is the primary exterior material.
