Description
In 1899 the original Wong Tai Sin was built in Fangcun. It was frequently visited by residents of Guangzhou and Guangdong Province to pay their respects to this Taoist God. But it was destroyed in 1910.
A follower of Wong Tai Sin migrated to Hong Kong and rebuilt the Temple in 1921. Since then the Temple in Hong Kong has been crowded with local and overseas worshippers all year round.
Canada Land Limited, Hong Kong, financed the reconstruction of the Wong Tai Sin on the original site in Fangcun, the temple was rebuilt in 1997.
