• Promoter: Buenos Aires City Hall (1725)

• Contractors:
- Andrés Blanqui and Juan Bautista Prímoli (1725-1728)
- Miguel Acosta and Julían Preciado (1731-1740)
- Diego Cardoso (1748)

Facts:

• This building was partially demolished and remodeled several times. In 1879 it was transformed into an Italianate style building, with a new tower 10 meters higher.

• In 1940 it was restored to its original style, but due to the demolitions it suffered (it lost three arches on each side), the size of the tower had to be reduced.
