Description Architect WTC: Rob van erk (Groosman and Partners)
Architect Beurs: J.F. Staal
- The Beurs was built between 1925 and 1940. Between 1983 and 1986 the WTC was built on top of the Beurs.
- In 1973, a floor was added to the Beurs (Architect: A. Staal). The Beurs was renovated between 2001 and 2005 by Mecanoo Architects.
- The WTC proved to be the starting signal for a deluge of high rises in the centre during the 1980s and '90s.
