- The King Tower was completed in 1996, at the time it was the tallest building in China, until the 69 Story Shun Hing Square in Shenzhen was completed a few months later.

- Tallest Building in Shanghai from 1996 to 1998, surpassed by the 93 story Jin Mao tower.
