• Jacksonville's 5th tallest building as of 2008. When it was completed in 1967 the Riverplace Tower was the tallest building in the state of Florida, it would stay so until the completion of the One Biscayne Tower in Miami in 1972. As for the tallest in Jacksonville, it would stay so until 1974 when surpassed by the Modis Tower.
• When it was completed in 1967, the Riverplace Tower world's tallest pre-cast, post-tension concrete structure. Most of the building's structural support is on the exterior, leaving more space for the interior.
• The building is home to the University Club, one of Florida's premier private clubs. The University Club is located on the 27th floor.
• The Riverplace Tower's sinage atop the building originally read Gulf Life from 1967 to 1991, when it was changed to SouthTrust. When SouthTrust merged with Wachovia the sign was changed to Wachovia in 2005.
