Description Architect: Welton Becket Associates
The nation's first smart building; this was the first completely computer controlled office building. This skyscraper was also designed to be responsive to the differences in the sun's radiation and looks different from every angle it's viewed. The north facade is made of glass. The windows in the southern facade are angled to keep the sun out. Windows in the east and west facades, which are exposed to harsh early and late day sun, are reduced in size and number.
The lighted signs on this skyscraper use fiber-active LEDs and can change to any color.
