• The Fountian Place opened in 1986 as the First Interstate Bank Tower.

• The elevators only go up to the 62nd floor, a stairway leads up to a 63rd floor, the mechanical penthouse.

• The Fountain Place is the world's tallest building to be glazed with four-sided structural silicone.
