Description Was the world's tallest structure from 1310 to 1311, and again from 1548 to 1561. The Linlcoln Cathedral in Lincolnshire took the title in 1311, but its spire fell in 1548.
St. Paul's spire fell on June 4th, 1561 after it was hit by lightning.
The rest of the cathedral was destroyed in the great fire of London in 1666.
